Lake Night, the British electronic artist returns with the release of his new EP, ‘Those Birds Are Drones’. His first new music in just over a year.

Weaving modular electronics, vibraphone, saxophone and guitar with broken beats, the EP takes a journey through a post Covid, dystopian hyper-reality. Where ridiculous conspiracy theories get the same attention as the destruction and polluting of the planet.

Of the title track, ‘Those Birds Are Drones’, he says, “The title came from one of the more ‘out there’ conspiracy theories, that all the birds were replaced by government agencies, with drones to spy on it’s citizens. It was just so outlandish, that it seemed to sum up just how detached from reality people have become. Desperately trying to make sense of this hyper-reality we now live in”.

Lake Night’s debut album in 2021 featured Maria Uzor from Post-Punk Dance Duo, Sink Ya Teeth, the late Akron/Family frontman Miles Cooper Seaton, Ten Fé and Roxanne de Bastion.

The release saw him garner support from COMPLEX, CLASH Music, DJ Mag, 15 Questions and more.
